T'S AND C'S

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

QUOTED PRICE BASED ON THE FOLLOWING:

 

1.     All exposed refrigerant piping will run exposed on the outer walls; trunking can be used to cover any pipework at an additional cost. This will be quoted separately and added to the final invoice.

2. Kelcool is not responsible for any civil works. This includes but is not limited to the following:

a) Broken brick work

b) Chipped plaster

c) Water Proofing

d) Additional drilling due to damp damaged walls

e) Any distribution board work, this includes faulty isolators or circuit breakers

f) removal and/or reinstallation of any fixture

2.     Quotation does not include the painting of any surfaces.

3.     Condenser to be installed on powder coated wall brackets.

4.     Basic drainage by means of gravity flow (no drain pump.)

5.     a) 24000BTU and above will require a 25 AMP weatherproof isolator run to the DB     board within arm’s reach of dedicated condenser.

b) 18000BTU and below can be connected to a plug on request however it is required that an air conditioner be installed to a circuit breaker on the distribution board

6.     Electrical connection to DB Board not included in price, unless otherwise specified.

7.     A separate quote can be supplied for electrical work.

8.     A back-to-back installation – the indoor and outdoor units are installed within 3 meters of each other.

9.     There will be an additional cost if indoor and outdoor units are not installed within 2.5 meters of each other.

10.   Installations do not include the removal of an existing unit, unless otherwise specified on quote.

11.   An additional cost of R850 will be charged to de-commission or remove any existing unit.

12.   2 HOURS labour is allocated per back-to-back installation. Thereafter, R350 per hour WILL be charged for additional labour.

13. The installation is deemed to be completed when the unit is powered on, heating and cooling correctly.

 

INCLUDED IN A BACK-TO-BACK INSTALLATION:

 

1.     Maximum 2.5-meter pipe kit from indoor unit to outdoor unit connected.

2.     1 x double brick 60 mm core drill.  Additional core drilling WILL be charged at R450 each.

3.     Indoor mounting backing plate to be fixed using 6 x fisher plugs.

4.     Outdoor mounting will be done with 4 x expansion bolts and powder coated brackets.

5.     Core hole will be sealed after installation with poly filler.

6.     Drain will be fixed onto outdoor bracket. Any additional work will be charged for as per Terms & Conditions.

7.     Any placement changes done by the client to the existing quotation will incur additional costs and will be added to the final invoice.

8. any amendments to pipe distance after the installation has started will incur additional costs.

9. 100x100,100x40 and 16x16 trunking can be provided on request this will be an additional cost over

 

SERVICING / REPAIRS /UN-INSTALL AND RE-INSTALL OF AIRCONDITIONING UNITS:

 

1.     The service of a unit does not include the replacement of any part needed to repair the air conditioning unit, unless otherwise specified. Gas not included in a minor service unless otherwise specified.

2.     The service does not include the repair of any unit during the service or after the service has been completed.

3.     A separate quote will be given to repair or replace any part needed for the air conditioning unit.

4.     12-month workmanship warranty from date of repair on mechanical parts. This is subject services carried out every 6 months before the warranty expires. This is environment and working conditions dependant.

5.     Call out Fee R450. (depending on area)

6.     Labour rate on repairs R350 per hour.

7.     Should services be booked, and one or more-unit needs repairs an invoice will be generated for work completed and an additional quotation/invoice will be sent for the repairs. Payment will not be withheld for additional repairs if needed.

8.     Should the air conditioner not work after un-installed and re-installed, parts required for repairs will be an additional cost.

9.     IF THE LABOUR HOURS ARE LONGER THAN QUOTED THE FINAL INVOICE WILL BE ADJUSTED ACCORDINGLY.

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE:

 

1.     Quotation done per client’s specifications.

2.     Any changes done by the client to the existing quotation will incur additional costs and will be added to the final invoice.

3.     Terms of payment – 50% deposit with order. Supply only will be 100% upfront payment.

4.     Delivery – Please check stock at time of quotation prior to placing order.

5.     There will be no retention what-so-ever on this agreement.

6.     We offer a 12-month workmanship warranty from date of installation. This is subject services carried out every 6 months before the warranty expires. This is environment and working conditions dependant.

7.     LG Standard warranty of 24 months on compressor subject to 6 monthly services taking place on the air conditioning unit.

8.     SAMSUNG Standard warranty of 60 months on compressor subject to a service every 6 months taking place on the air conditioning unit.

9.     SAMSUNG Standard warranty of 120 months on compressor subject to service every 6 months taking place on the air conditioning unit.

10.   MIDEA Standard warranty of 12 months on compressor subject to a service every 6 months taking place on the air

conditioning unit.

11.   SIR AIR Standard warranty of 60 months on compressor subject to a service every 6 months taking place on the air conditioning unit.

12.   Alaska Standard warranty of 60 months on compressor subject to service every 6 months taking place on the air conditioning unit.

13.   All goods installed remain the property of Kelcool (PTY) LTD until full payment has been received.

14.   Kelcool PTY LTD reserves the right to remove any units installed if full payment has not been received within 7 days of installation.

15.   Late Payments will attract a maximum of 7% finance charge per 30-day period, should any accounts exceed 120 days your account will be handed over for payment at your cost.

16.   Please note you’re in accordance with manufacturer warranty any new unit needs to be serviced every

12 months for residential units

6 months for commercial units.

1 major service every 36 months or when necessary

Failure to do so will result in the warranty declared void.

17.   There is an additional charge for installations done over a weekend and/or after hours.

18.   Cancellation fee of 10% will be levied on any goods once deposit has been paid.
