TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. INSTALLATION TERMS & CONDITIONS
   ==================================================

1.1 QUOTED PRICE BASIS

1.1.1 All exposed refrigerant piping will be installed exposed on external walls unless otherwise specified.

1.1.2 Trunking may be supplied and installed at an additional cost.

1.1.3 Quotations are based on information supplied by the client and site conditions visible at the time of quotation.

1.1.4 Any changes to site conditions, equipment locations, pipe routes, drainage requirements, electrical requirements, or access requirements may result in additional charges.

1.2 EXCLUSIONS

Unless specifically stated on the quotation, the following are excluded:

• Civil works
• Painting
• Waterproofing
• Distribution board modifications
• Electrical fault finding
• Isolators and circuit breakers
• Drain pumps
• Ceiling repairs
• Structural alterations
• Removal and reinstatement of fixtures
• Existing unit removal

Civil works include but are not limited to:

• Broken brickwork
• Chipped plaster
• Waterproofing
• Additional drilling due to damaged walls
• Removal or reinstatement of fixtures

1.3 ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS

1.3.1 Electrical connection to the distribution board is excluded unless specifically stated on the quotation.

1.3.2 A separate quotation can be supplied for electrical work.

1.3.3 Units 24,000 BTU and above require a dedicated 25 Amp weatherproof isolator within arm's reach of the condenser.

1.3.4 Units 18,000 BTU and below may be connected to a plug point on request, however a dedicated circuit breaker is recommended.

1.4 BACK-TO-BACK INSTALLATION

A standard back-to-back installation includes:

• Maximum 2.5 metres of refrigeration pipework
• Maximum 2.5 metres of communication cable
• Maximum 2.5 metres of drainage
• One 60 mm core hole through a standard double-brick wall
• Indoor mounting plate
• Outdoor wall brackets
• Sealing of the core hole

Additional charges apply for:

• Pipe runs exceeding 2.5 metres
• Additional drainage
• Additional communication cable
• Additional core drilling
• Relocation of equipment
• Additional labour

1.5 LABOUR

1.5.1 Two (2) labour hours are allocated per standard back-to-back installation.

1.5.2 Additional labour shall be charged at the prevailing labour rate.

1.6 INSTALLATION COMPLETION

Installation shall be deemed complete upon completion of the works specified in the quotation.

Where electrical works are excluded, Kelcool's responsibility is limited to:

• Mechanical installation
• Refrigeration pipework installation
• Drainage installation
• Pressure testing
• Evacuation of the refrigeration circuit
• Refrigeration commissioning and testing where power is available

Electrical connection, electrical compliance, dedicated circuits, isolators, circuit breakers, and electrical certification remain the responsibility of the client unless specifically quoted.

Temporary testing using an existing power source may be performed where practical and shall not constitute electrical installation.

1.7 VARIATIONS TO SCOPE

Should actual site conditions differ from those quoted, including:

• Additional pipe length
• Additional cabling
• Additional drainage
• Additional labour
• Additional access equipment
• Structural obstacles
• Ceiling work
• Electrical requirements not disclosed

Kelcool reserves the right to charge for additional labour, materials, equipment, and time required.

Where practical, a revised quotation will be issued.

Where the client instructs Kelcool to proceed immediately, whether verbally, via WhatsApp, email, SMS, telephone, or through a site representative, such instruction shall constitute acceptance of the additional costs.

1.8 CLIENT REPRESENTATIVE AUTHORITY

Kelcool may rely upon instructions provided by:

• Client
• Property owner
• Tenant
• Site manager
• Maintenance manager
• Supervisor
• Project manager
• Facilities manager

Any instruction to proceed with additional work shall be binding upon the client.

1.9 ACCESS AND SITE CONDITIONS

The client shall provide safe and reasonable access to all work areas.

Additional charges may apply for:

• Delays
• Waiting time
• Return visits
• Scaffolding
• Roof access equipment
• Cherry pickers
• Lifting equipment
• Permits

1.10 CLIENT DELAYS

Delays caused by site readiness, unavailable power, unavailable access, unavailable decision makers, or third-party contractors may result in additional charges.

1.11 CONDENSATE DRAINAGE

Drainage is installed using gravity flow unless otherwise specified.

Kelcool shall not be liable for drainage issues resulting from:

• Structural limitations
• Building movement
• Blocked drains
• Third-party modifications
• Alterations after installation

2. SERVICING, REPAIRS & RE-INSTALLATIONS

2.1 Servicing does not include repairs unless specifically quoted.

2.2 Refrigerant is not included unless specifically stated.

2.3 A separate quotation will be supplied for repairs.

2.4 Call-out fees apply.

2.5 Labour shall be charged at the prevailing labour rate.

2.6 Should a unit require repairs after servicing, a separate quotation will be issued.

2.7 Existing equipment remains subject to wear, corrosion, latent defects, refrigerant leaks, electrical faults, and age-related deterioration.

2.8 Kelcool shall not be held responsible for pre-existing defects discovered during servicing or repair work.

2.9 Should labour exceed the estimated hours, the final invoice shall be adjusted accordingly.

3. PAYMENT TERMS

3.1 Installations require a 50% deposit unless otherwise agreed.

3.2 Supply-only sales require full payment in advance.

3.3 Balance is payable immediately upon completion.

3.4 Additional work approved during installation shall be added to the final invoice.

3.5 No retention shall apply unless agreed in writing.

3.6 Late payments may attract interest at the maximum rate permitted by law.

3.7 Accounts may be handed over for collection at the client's cost.

4. GENERAL

4.1 Additional charges apply for weekend and after-hours work.

4.2 Cancellation of an order after a deposit has been paid may attract a cancellation fee of up to 10%.

4.3 All quotations are subject to stock availability at the time of order.

4.4 Manufacturer warranty requirements and servicing intervals remain the responsibility of the client and are specified on the quotation supplied.
